OVERVIEW ~ ABOUT

Post Traumatic Growth website has grown from years of community members gathering together and openly sharing knowledge from life experience with the heart felt passion.

Post Traumati Growth website is a place where predomenately mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers are giving back to society.
We hold generational learning of maintaining and building strong relationships within family, business and community.
Our mission is to focus on 'prevention is better than cure';
Our aim is to help raise awareness of good behaviours, good product & services, good resources and research. read our disclaimer
We believe positive values are the essence of building emotionally balanced individuals, families and communities. more info read overview_history

Our friendship circle shares the value of the importance of supporting each other through our unique and individual lives; this passion has forged our desire to create a special place where we bring people together; with understanding of everyone's 'today' busy lives we recognise the accessibility and incredible linkages we can achieve through the use of current and affordable technology; we have great opportunity to build a special respectful gathering of learnt knowledge from real life experiences across our globe; a place where today and future generations can visit to read and hear archived stories of many different ways in which people found an array of different coping skills that they learnt and carried to help them through turbulent and traumatic times within their personal lives.

Sometimes you maybe able to ride and sustain traumatic situations emotionally and physically well; other times the impact can be so extreme that is has the potential to cause emotional, physical and/or financial hardship to yourself, your family, your community and your environment.

We would all like to live in a world that protects all from trauma entering our lives; particularly our children. The reality unfortunately is that as hard as we might try we cannot guarantee any age, gender, belief or nation will be exempt from the possibilities of experiencing a traumatic life experience.
August 2013_Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is now second most common mental health disorder.

Members within our past community organisations who participated within a nearby Victorian Community Recovery Committee Mental Health Working Group constantly requested the introduction of coping skills within community programs; especially for children and youth within schools. read more about our history

Post Traumatic Growth website is continuing to commemorate Australia's worst natural disaster. Victorian 2009 'Black Saturday' Bushfire (Firestorm) 7th February 2009.
Our thoughts and blessings are for all who tragically lost loved ones and anything else that was personally precious.

We would also like to respect and remember all life forms who suffered
directly, indirectly and significantly from the impact of all natural disasters globally;
as well as all others, for whatever experience is real to you, are enduring
'the smouldering emotional embers after a life changing event'.

Community members continue to informally gather together or share information electronically so lived experience and knowledge can continue through Post Traumatic Growth website.

Please contact us by email if you would like to share information with like-minded community people who are continuing to grow support for communities world-wide.
Kindest regards Pamela Clune
